I was Born in Glasgow, Scotland and emigrated to Canada as a youngster where I was introduced to both painting and theatre in High School. I went on to
graduate from The University of Manitoba, School of Art with a BFA , Painting and Sculpture. And subsequently received a Diploma in Scenography from The National Theatre School in Scenic painting, set and costume design. Extensive travel and the mining of the past in the course of design work, especially in theatre, has had a profound effect on my painting practice.
